Mental health: eating disorders

  Eating disorders are illnesses related to behaviour with food. They are associated with distressing thoughts and emotions. Common eating disorders are anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge-eating disorder. This illness can affect the heart, digestive system, bones, teeth and mouth. Causes The exact causes are not known but they might be:     - Genetics. Some people may have gens that increase their risk of developing eating disorders.     - Biology. Biological factors may play a role in eating disorders. Anorexia Nervosa It's a condition where people avoid food, so there's a low weight for height and age. There are two subtypes: restricting typ e ( individuals lose weight primarily by dieting, fasting or excessively exercising) and purging type (individuals engage an  intermittent binge-eating or purging behaviours).   An anaesthetist is a specialist doctor, who provides anaesthesia to a patient in a surgery or other procedures. During a surgery, the anaesthetist administers the anaesthetic tailored to each patient and remains controlling it by monitoring and treating as necessary the effects of anaesthetic and the surgery.The scope of practice for an anaesthetist includes general anaesthetic, sedation and regional anaesthetic, perioperative assessment and management, airway management, postoperative care and resuscitation.

A gynecological illness, the endometriosis

  The endometriosis is a disease, in which a tissue similar to the interior of the uterus grows outside it. That leads to inflammation and scar tissue forming in the pelvic region. People can have this issue at their first period and last until their last period. Causes The origin of endometriosis is unknown, so there's no way to try to avoid it. Symptoms     • Pelvic pain. It's more noticeable during the period, during or after sex and when urinating or defecating.     • Heavy bleeding during period or between periods.     • Trouble getting pregnant.     • Bloating or nausea.     • Fatigue.     •Depression or/and anxiety. You must know that some people don't experience any kind of symptom. Prevention Nowadays there is no way to prevent it. But some recommendations are: enhanced awareness, early diagnosis and management. This could help to slow or halt progression of the disease and reduce the long-term of its symptom...

  The brain is a complex organ which controls: thoughts, memory, emotion, touch, motor skills, vision, temperature, hunger and every process that controls our body. The central nervous system is made of: the brain and the spinal cord . How does it work? The brain receives chemical and electrical signals throughout all our body. Each signal controls a different process, and the brain interprets the signals. This signals alert our brain, like for example the pain. Some messages are kept within the brain, and others are relayed to the distant extremities (for this the the nervous system has nerves ). The structure of the brain. It is divided in three units: the forebrain , the midbrain and the hindbrain .     - Forebrain: It is the largest region of the brain. I nside the cerebrum, it happens important functions of the brain, like thinking, planning, reasoning, language processing and interpreting.
