  Infectious diseases are diseases caused by microorganism —such as bacteria, fungi, viruses or parasites. The microorganism enters a person's body and causes harm. Many organisms live in our body, and most of them are harmless or even helpful. The microorganism uses the human body to sustain itself, reproduce and colonize. These infectious microscopic organisms multiply quickly. They can spread by different ways, including: skin contact, transfer of bodily fluids, contact with feces, ingesting contaminated food/water, etcetera.  Signs and symptoms vary depending on the organism that caused the infection, but often include fever and fatigue. Mild infections may respond to rest and home remedies, while some life-threatening infections may need hospitalization. Many infectious diseases can be prevented by vaccines. What does a pediatrician do?

  A pediatrician is a doctor who treats newborns, children, adolescents and young adults. Pediatric care starts at birth and lasts through a child's 21st birthday or longer. They have a wide range of responsbilities from conducting regular well-child checkups to diagnosing and treating injuries, illnesses or other health conditions. Pediatricians prevent, detect and manage physical, psychological and developmental issues that affect children. Pediatricians undergo extensive education and training: 1. Four-year undergraduate degree (with premedical courses). 2. Four years of medical school with courses like anatomy and they do rotations about the areas of the medicine. Some schools combine those in a 6 years of initial formation. 3. A three years long pediatric residency program. 4. (optional) Training in pediatric subspecialties.   Addiction is not having control over doing, taking or using something to the point it could be harmful to you. It's possible being addicted to anything: gambling, drugs, alcohol, smoking... And also: - Work. People who are obsessed with it, and being physically exhausted and the relationships are affected because of work. - Internet. People may spend hours and hours on the internet everyday. - Solvents. Volatile substance abuse is when you inhale such as glue, aerosols, petrol or lighter fuel. - Shopping. It becomes an addiction when you buy things you don't need or want just to achieve a buzz. There are lots of reasons why addictions start. Some substances like alcohol, nicotine or drug affect the way you feel, and create an urge to use the substances again. Gambling produces of feeling of mental "high" after a win and it's followed by a strong urge to recreate that feeling. Tourette

  Tourette syndrome is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects children, adolescents and adults. It affects the brain and nerves, causing people to do repeatedly movements and sounds (motor and vocal tics) that they cannot control. Tics can range from mild to moderate and severe, and are disabling in some cases. It's important to know that people with Tourette don't always blurt out obscenities or curse words, it is a misbelief sometimes seen on TV. Only in 10-15% of the cases the words may be inappropriate. Also, just having a tic doesn't mean you have Tourette: to have Tourette means that a person has at least two different motor tics and one vocal tic, and has had tics for over a year. Some other rules for the diagnosis are: tics started to appear before the age of 18, and they're not caused by the use of substance or other medical condition.
